Tech tip: When the old spark plugs come out, check for abnormal burning which could indicate excess oil consumption, excess fuel, or even poor spark which could ruin the new plugs. Don't forget to check for arcing on the outside of the plug too.
Some cars or trucks have timing belts that require replacement at recommended intervals to ensure they don't break or fail. Some engines are what's referred to as "interference" which means there is no clearance between the piston and the valves and failure could mean damage to the valvetrain and certainly damage to the moneybelt!
